Reproduction and distribution of website contents within commercial, non-profit, government, social media, commerce, or academic material without written permission is prohibited. CCS embodies a living practice with living practitioners, sufficient research and record of our tradition requires consent and proper context.

There have been multiple instances of doctoral candidates taking the contents of CCS’ website, including the content of CCS board members, and misrepresenting our organization and living traditions. We wholly reject these improper and unethical practices. Research without contacting the subjects of the research is unethical and extractive white supremacist practice. If you are including Chesapeake Conjure Society in your body of work, contact the organization via our website. We explicitly require review of claims being made on CCS, and such claims are subject to our approval.
